Travis Doering, MD

Fellowship trained in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Peripheral Nerve Surgery

Welcome to my practice. I founded it on a simple commitment: to provide transparent, patient-centered care that combines world-class training with a modern, compassionate approach to help you get back to your life faster.

As a former collegiate athlete, I have a unique understanding of the drive to return to peak performance. I bring that "get back in the game" mentality to my work every day, whether I'm treating a competitive athlete, a weekend warrior, or someone who simply wants to lift their grandchild without pain. My approach focuses on modern, rapid-recovery techniques and minimally invasive options whenever possible, with the goal of reducing your downtime and accelerating your healing.

My comprehensive training allows me to treat the full spectrum of upper extremity conditions involving bones, joints, tendons, and nerves. After graduating from Amherst College and performing immunology research at the University of Pennsylvania, I earned my medical degree with a distinction in research. I completed my orthopedic surgery residency at Northwell Health, where I was honored to serve as Chief Resident, before undertaking a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Campbell Clinic—they write “the” textbook for orthopedic surgery. This experience ensures I can provide comprehensive solutions for everything from fractures and sports injuries to arthritis and nerve compression syndromes.

When I’m not caring for patients, you can find me running, working out, or working through an overly complicated board game. As a new Austinite, I’m proud to be cheering on my new football team—Hook 'em Horns!

I am dedicated to providing modern, transparent surgical, regenerative, and non-operative care with the focus and attention every patient deserves. I look forward to meeting you and creating a personalized treatment plan that helps you achieve your goals.
