Philosophy

A few things worth saying plainly.

Surgery is sometimes the right answer at the first visit, and knowing when to act is as important as knowing when to wait. When the evidence is solid, it gets used. When it is thin, I will tell you directly.

The arm is a single mechanical and neurological system. The shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand do not function in isolation. Training across the full limb means that when something is wrong at one level, I can evaluate what is happening at every other level before making a recommendation.

You deserve a real diagnosis, honest options, and enough time to get your questions answered. That is the standard I hold myself to at every visit.

The Practice

I became a surgeon because I appreciate hard problems and the responsibility of a real stake.

The Training: My fellowship at the Campbell Clinic provided a deep foundation in everything from delicate microvascular work to complex shoulder reconstruction. Before that, I served as Chief Resident at Northwell Health.

The Perspective: A stretch of basic science research gave me a lasting habit that has carried through every clinical decision I have made since: reading evidence, from both medical and popular literature, as a scientist rather than a consumer. That habit allows me to evaluate new treatments with a critical eye while remaining open to innovations that can genuinely benefit patients.

The Practice: After years in a high-volume employed setting, I chose to return to an independent model. I believe that good medicine requires time — time to listen, and time to build a plan centered on your specific goals. I built this practice to take care of patients the way I would want to be taken care of myself.
